I just read Paying For It by Chester Brown — good stuff, very thought-provoking. I imagine the premise alone will drive a lot of people away, but if one does decide to read it (and it’s a quick and, yes, entertaining if potentially disturbing read), one realizes it’s a work of talent and intelligence and passion (of a kind). It will make you think about the nature of sex and romantic relationships, and the variations and possibilities thereof. It may, as works of art should, open up your mind a little.
